Position Overview

The CT Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team by utilizing advanced imaging technology to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Certification Requirements

It is essential to maintain current certification and licensure as mandated for this role. CPR certification is also a requirement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a variety of tasks associated with CAT scan technology.
  • Prepare necessary equipment and supplies for specific imaging procedures.
  • Ensure the physical and psychological comfort of patients during their scans.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that the area is adequately stocked with supplies.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of daily imaging exams.
  • Execute all tasks as directed by the coordinator and lead staff.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.
Job Requirements

Must be CT registered and uphold current certification/licensure as required for the position. CPR certification is mandatory.

Scheduling Information

Responsible for coordinating the schedule of daily exams and ensuring timely management of all emergency and unscheduled procedure requests. Maintain workflow within the section to effectively coordinate emergent and unscheduled procedures.

Unit Specific Information

Ensure that adequate linen supplies are available in each scanning room and adhere to designated room assignments. Assist in maintaining the CT storeroom and external inventory.
