Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy team at Optum in Wabash, IN. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for the financial, clinical, and quality performance of our pharmacy services.

About the Role

The Pharmacy Manager will oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, including dispensing prescription medication, counseling patients on medication use, and developing and managing pharmacy staff. This is a key position that has a significant impact on our consumers and clinic partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a great consumer and clinic partner experience by building strong relationships and proactively meeting their needs.
  • Serve as an expert to the clinical staff and meet with them regularly to discuss clinical outcomes.
  • Counsel and educate patients on medication use, adverse effects, schedules, and other personal questions.
  • Ensure the pharmacy and team members follow policies and standards in accordance with state and federal laws.
  • Perform wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and other preventive services.
  • Responsible for financial profitability and identify opportunities to drive growth in the pharmacy.
  • Motivate, develop, and coach all pharmacy staff to ensure they are meeting their potential and delivering exceptional service.
  • Create an engaging team environment that promotes compassion and models our core values and culture amongst the team.
  • Proactively promote opportunities and recruiting top talent at our pharmacies.
  • Reviews key performance indicators with pharmacy staff and identifies trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conducts workforce planning and business planning to have operational excellence at the site.
  • Builds strong relationships with the community, stakeholders, and clinic partners to ensure we are meeting all needs and promote the pharmacy business.
  • Drives marketing plans and materials to promote all pharmacy offerings.
Requirements

To be successful as a Pharmacy Manager at Optum, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • Current pharmacist license in the state of Indiana.
  • Certified immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 3 months of hire.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
