Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and manage repair orders from the service dispatcher.
- Execute tasks as specified on repair orders with precision and in alignment with dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Identify the root cause of malfunctions and carry out necessary repairs.
- Coordinate with the parts department to procure required components.
- Preserve and label parts for warranty jobs or upon customer request.
- Inspect vehicles to assess if additional safety or service tasks are necessary.
- Inform the service advisor promptly if extra work is not needed.
- Communicate with the service advisor if repairs cannot be completed within the promised timeframe.
- Document all work performed accurately.
- Conduct road tests on vehicles as needed or refer to a designated test technician.
- Oversee the work of apprentice technicians as assigned.
- Participate in factory-sponsored training sessions.
- Stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
- Ensure that customer vehicles are maintained in a clean condition.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workshop, ensuring accountability for all dealership-owned tools.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and report any incidents to management immediately.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a GM Technician is essential.
- ASE Certification is mandatory.
- A-level qualifications, including expertise in diagnostics, electrical systems, and engine repair.
- Possession of a valid driver's license in Florida.
- Good driving history is required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening is necessary.
