CCP Instructor, Practical Nursing Educator

As a CCP Instructor, Practical Nursing at Palm Beach State College, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Practical Nursing Program Faculty member.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach courses in accordance with published course descriptions, schedules, procedures, and course outlines furnished to students.
- Assess students' proficiency and conduct ongoing evaluation and prepare grade reports of student progress and maintain records of student course performance.
- Design and prepare curriculum of course-related materials and prepare and deliver online training content in support of classroom instruction.
- Work with other faculty and staff on quality assurance activities and schedule and maintain at minimum the number of student contact hours as prescribed in DBOT rule.
- Develop student clinical and technical skills to meet the needs of Business Partnership Council and develop testing instruments, conduct ongoing evaluation, assess students' proficiency, prepare grade reports of student progress, and maintain records of student course performance.
- Assist students in proper procedures and practices, follow established safety practices, and maximize learning and retention through the use of skill-building resources and maintain program standards.
- Develop and coordinate program and course schedules, faculty assignments, test dates, etc., and maintain calendar as necessary to track these schedules and make adjustments as required.
- Participate in various meetings and committees, travel to meetings, between College locations, and for other purposes, and assist with the development, evaluation, and purchase of lab and program materials and resources.
- Registered Nurse with Bachelor's degree in Nursing or health-related field with current State of Florida licensure as Registered Nurse; or Registered Nurse with current State of Florida licensure and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar application and skilled in attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management, excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, and ability to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and on multiple campuses if needed, and demonstrate cultural competency to engage and work with a diverse student and employee population.
- Two years clinical practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Reach and grasp objects, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl, stand for extended periods of time, use of video display terminal, use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills, communicate information orally and in writing, receive and understand information through oral and written communication, proofread and check documents for accuracy, work with equipment or perform procedures where carelessness may result in injury, and risk for occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
