Chemist 1

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemist 1 to join our team at Merieux NutriSciences. As a trusted partner in the food industry, we are committed to making food systems safer, healthier, and more sustainable.

• Analyze samples using various techniques, including HPLC, GC, ICP, and AA.
• Ensure that proper analysis methods are conducted on the appropriate samples and maintain quality control records.
• Extract desired components from samples using processes such as distillation, solvent extraction, and acid digestion.
• Calculate the concentration of components present in samples and post results.
• Maintain a clean laboratory environment and adhere to all safety policies.
• Support laboratory management in the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the management system.

• Associate's degree required, Bachelor's preferred.
• One to two years of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation and theory, including HPLC, GC, ICP, and AA.
• Manual dexterity to pipet samples as required.
• Ability to detect slight variations in shades of colors.

The incumbent works in a laboratory setting with proper lighting and temperature control. Occasional exposure to laboratory fumes, chemicals, and materials may occur.
