Key Responsibilities of the Nutritional Culinary Specialist:
- Prepare and serve meals for our residents.
- Address all special dietary requirements and prepare modified textures as needed.
- Ensure adherence to all record-keeping, food safety, and risk management protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness in dining areas and kitchen, including proper disposal of leftovers and waste.
- Understand and implement color coding and abbreviations for tray cards and therapeutic menus.
- Care for kitchen equipment and appliances.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions and departmental meetings.
Qualifications:
- Friendly demeanor with strong communication abilities.
- Effective communication skills with both staff and residents.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations.
- A high school diploma or GED is acceptable.
- Successful candidates will demonstrate organizational skills, time management, sound judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
