Key Responsibilities:
As a Manufacturing Team Leader, you will:
- Guide, mentor, and inspire your team to achieve excellence.
- Foster constructive labor relations through a comprehensive understanding of the union contract.
- Collaborate with Materials and Quality departments to meet delivery and quality standards.
- Assist in the identification and creation of standardized procedures and training resources.
- Conduct Shift Meetings to enhance communication between shifts.
- Exhibit flexibility in your work schedule to ensure effective leadership coverage.
- Oversee shop floor operations, including:
- Accurate tracking of production, scrap, and labor metrics.
- Timely initiation and conclusion of shifts.
- Training, development, and motivation of shop floor staff.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, with leadership experience in extrusion manufacturing and a unionized environment.
- Dependability and strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities to engage with all levels of management.
