Telecommunications Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Specialist to join our team at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and routing traffic on various communications systems, including telephone, radio paging, public address paging, and operator workstations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively operate and route traffic on various communications systems
  • Keep information current and perform system backups
  • Interact with the public in a professional, helpful, and courteous manner
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of switchboard and communication practices
  • High school diploma and previous switchboard or information systems experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer operations and typing skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups
  • Ability to function under pressure and establish priorities
