Peraton is seeking a highly skilled Configuration Management Engineer to support our Department of Defense customer in Chantilly, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our cloud-based infrastructure system.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Maintain Configuration Management Plans: Create and implement overarching Configuration Management (CM) plans, including procedures and responsibilities, to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Manage Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs): Own and maintain the program CDRLs, ensuring timely delivery to the government customer, and conduct quality and technical reviews for each CDRL.
- Coordinate with CDRL Managers: Work with CDRL managers to review and validate CDRLs, ensuring they are updated and maintained in accordance with contract requirements.
- Manage Software Configuration Management Tools: Maintain software CM tools for the program CM repository, supporting configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
- Identify and Implement Industry Best Practices: Identify, implement, and use industry best practices to track the established CM repository, and provide training to program individuals on the use of CM tools.
- Verify Accuracy and Adherence: Recommend and execute procedures for verifying accuracy of configuration items, adherence to CM process, and identifying process deficiencies.
- Maintain Process Assets Library: Maintain the program process assets library, including all process definitions, templates, and document samples.
- Develop and Maintain Quality Assurance Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain overarching quality assurance (QA) procedures, establishing responsibilities, authorities, and plan approval levels.
- Perform Process and Product Evaluations: Perform process and product evaluations (audits) to ensure compliance with established policies, processes, procedures, and applicable standards.
- Participate in Request for Change (RFC) and Change Control Board (CCB) Meetings: Participate in program RFC and CCB meetings to address changes in baseline.
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI or SCI Eligibility: Hold an active Top Secret clearance with SCI or SCI eligibility.
- Configuration Management Experience: Have 8+ years of experience in configuration management related field, or a Master's degree and 6+ years of experience in a configuration management related field.
- Configuration Management Tools Experience: Have experience maintaining and using configuration management tools.
- Code Version Management Experience: Have experience managing and tracking code versions between development, test, and production environments.
- Communication and Collaboration Skills: Be able to work with management, developers, and external staff to ensure timely flow from each level of review and that the required artifacts are completed and archived per policy and procedure.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification: Hold a CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent certification.
- Atlassian Tools Experience: Have experience working with and understanding of Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.
- SAFe Agile Methodologies Experience: Have experience working with or on a team using SAFe Agile methodologies.
