Job Description

The CMDE Provider at Autism Matters is responsible for conducting comprehensive diagnostic assessments and evaluations. This role requires collaboration with our clinical teams, including ABA, Speech, Psychotherapy, and Occupational Therapy, to ensure comprehensive care for our clients.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Must be a licensed physician, advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), or mental health professional (LPCC, LICSW, LCP, LFMT) with at least 2,000 hours of clinical experience in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with ASD and/or related conditions.
  • Training and experience with initial diagnoses and ongoing diagnostic assessments are essential.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and location is required to accommodate evaluation schedules.
Responsibilities
  • Collect and document client information, including session notes, progress notes, recommendations, and treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments of patients' risk for harm to self or others.
  • Consult with or provide consultation to other doctors, therapists, or clinicians regarding client care.
  • Obtain and study medical, psychological, social, and family histories by interviewing individuals, couples, or families and by reviewing records.
  • Refer clients to other specialists, institutions, or support services as necessary.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant research and consult reference materials as needed.
