Sentry is committed to providing real work experience for our interns, and our Claims internship is designed to give students a head start on their careers. As a Claims intern, you will work with a mentor to learn about claims negotiations, customer support, and claims handling. You will also have opportunities to network and attend social events.
Key Responsibilities- Learn about claims negotiations and how to support customers with empathy and understanding
- Verify coverage of current customers and investigate losses by gathering relevant information
- Document your actions and information gathered about claims
- Obtain required licensing as needed
- Pursuing an undergraduate or associate degree in Business, Insurance, Communication, or a related field
- Obtain a minimum in-major GPA of 3.00
- Expected graduation of December 2025 through May 2026
- Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
- Real work experience in a professional, corporate setting
- Scheduled Hybrid work model with the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays
- Equipment necessary to work from home, including a laptop and monitors
