Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Utility Locator Technician to join our team. As a Utility Locator Technician, you will use computer utility maps and specialized equipment to locate underground cables, pipes, and other utilities. Your primary responsibility will be to prevent damages and ensure safety during excavation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive to sites in response to routine ticket requests and emergencies, and relocate underground utilities.
  • Utilize mapping tools and locating equipment to identify underground utilities, including electrical cables, gas lines, and communication lines.
  • Indicate utility locations using paint, flags, and communicate relevant information to excavation personnel or other authorities.
  • Respond to after-hours emergency call-outs in accordance with the established rotation schedule.
Requirements
  • Utility locating experience is preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license in the applicable state of employment.
  • Ability to work overtime when duties cannot be performed within a normal work schedule.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently.
Work Environment

As a Utility Locator Technician, you will work outdoors in all weather conditions, driving 50 to 200+ miles daily, and standing and walking lengthy distances over uneven terrain.
