Overview
Summary:
Operates under the guidance of the Service Line Manager and Lead Technologist. Aids the Radiologist and Neurointerventionalist in conducting diagnostic angiography, interventional, and neuro-interventional procedures for patient diagnosis and treatment. Engages in a variety of tasks based on the assigned area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts all diagnostic, interventional, and neuro-interventional procedures.
- Supports the physician during diagnostic angiographic procedures, as well as intricate vascular and nonvascular interventional, therapeutic, and neuro-interventional tasks; ensures a sterile environment.
- Prepares and positions patients prior to procedures and remains present at the bedside throughout.
- Communicates any changes in patient condition to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.
- Educates patients and their families regarding the procedures. Assists in patient transport as necessary.
- Administers contrast media in accordance with established medication review protocols.
- Records procedural information, performs post-processing of radiographic images, and inputs procedural charges.
- Engages in related tasks such as maintaining cleanliness of the work area, restocking supplies, assisting colleagues, and reporting equipment issues.
- May conduct moderate or waived point of care testing in compliance with CLIA guidelines.

Additional Information:
Experience: 1-2 years as an Interventional Radiology Technologist is preferred. Demonstrates performance standards (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that enhance patient satisfaction and uphold service excellence principles.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Individual will possess a suitable combination of education, experience, and qualifications.
