We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our neurosurgery team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and technical expertise in the performance of interventional radiology procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and execution of interventional radiology procedures, including neurosurgery and neurointerventional procedures.
- Provide exceptional patient care and support to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in interventional radiology and neurosurgery, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
- 3+ years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with a focus on neurosurgery and neurointerventional procedures.
- Strong technical skills and ability to work with a variety of imaging modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
- Certification in BLS and ACLS, with experience in critical care and emergency medicine.
- Experience with electronic documentation and teaching hospital environments.
- Previous experience as a charge technologist or in a leadership role.
- Knowledge of Pyxis and EPIC systems, with experience in SBAR communication.
