SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Nurse Anesthetist is accountable for the administration of anesthesia and the provision of comprehensive care throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases for patients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a Master's degree in Nursing is required.
Certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) is mandatory.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment is essential.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a nurse anesthetist is preferred.
