Job Summary

DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Coordinator to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a Clinical Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our department, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting the nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Coordination: Assist in coordinating the provision of care through assigning and scheduling staff, prioritizing, delegating, and evaluating patient care.
  • Staff Development: Facilitate shared decision making among staff, provide in-service programs to enhance staff competence, and assist with interview, selection, retention, mentoring, and evaluation of staff.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in development of policies, procedures, and standards for the department, and assist with department Process Improvement and Peer Review.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with manager in prospective monitoring of the schedule to ensure adequate nurse-patient ratio, and facilitate unit throughput to improve Length of Stay (LOS).
Requirements
  • Education: Associates Degree/Diploma required, BSN preferred.
  • Licensure: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of Michigan.
  • Experience: One to two years of progressively more responsible experience with evidence of increasing leadership abilities.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, delegate to others, and facilitate processes.
  • Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred.
