Job Summary

Marmon Railroad Services is seeking a skilled Ameritrack Heavy Equipment Grade Operator to join our team. As a key member of our rail track construction team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to support our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment, including backhoes and front-end loaders, to support rail track construction projects.
  • Travel to job sites for extended periods, working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed.
  • Meet safety and quality standards, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience operating heavy equipment, with rail construction experience a plus.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of laser and machine control, as well as blueprint reading, a plus.

Working Conditions

The work environment is outdoors, with regular exposure to outside weather conditions. The employee may be required to work nights, holidays, and weekends. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
