The Senior Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in managing medium to high criticality materials, equipment, and subcontracting sourcing initiatives. This position requires an "expert level" understanding of procurement processes and protocols.
Moreover, the Senior Procurement Specialist is tasked with formulating negotiation strategies, delegating responsibilities, and mentoring less experienced colleagues, including Procurement Coordinators I and II.
This role also encompasses sourcing activities during pre-mobilization phases, providing estimating support for projects in the Deal Development stage, and executing procurement activities throughout the project lifecycle, from RFP solicitation to the Award phase.
Additionally, the Senior Procurement Specialist must demonstrate proficiency in conducting commercial analyses of bidders' proposals, drafting and submitting award recommendations, and facilitating bidder conferences.
Key responsibilities include fostering and maintaining supplier relationships on awarded contracts, engaging with essential internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring overall transparency with the Project Management Team (PMT).
