Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and service to our customers in the USA and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers via phone, email, and on-site visits.
  • Install and maintain complex surface analysis instrumentation, including ultra-high vacuum systems.
  • Train customers on the use and operation of our equipment.
  • Travel frequently to customer sites, primarily in the USA, Canada, Germany, and Japan.
Requirements:
  • Degree in a science or engineering field (e.g. physics, engineering, materials science, chemistry).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with experience in ultra-high vacuum systems.
  • Hands-on experience with surface analysis equipment, including ARPES, XPS, and LT-SPM.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
