Clinical Pharmacist

Position Overview:

The Clinical Pharmacist will deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care services to patients at Conway Medical Center. This role encompasses the supervision, assessment, preparation, dispensing, and meticulous documentation of patient medication therapies. The Clinical Pharmacist will also provide essential drug information, patient education, and oversight of medication information systems.

Maintaining accurate records of medication dispensing is crucial, along with managing systems that facilitate the billing and crediting of medications and treatments. The Clinical Pharmacist will ensure the availability of necessary medications for patients, overseeing their procurement, preparation, storage, and maintenance.

Additional responsibilities include supervising technical staff involved in the preparation and dispensing of pharmaceuticals, offering support and education for investigational medications, and ensuring compliance with preparation, labeling, and availability protocols within the medication system. It is also essential to maintain required documentation for investigational drugs.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Must hold a current license from the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy in good standing.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within six months of employment.
