Job Summary:
Mary Cariola Center is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Residential Program Specialist. This is a 1099 annual contract position, 20-25 hours per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide monthly and ongoing consultation, clinical supervision, and oversight to the Behavioral Intervention Specialist (BIS) in the Waiver Services Program.
- Supervise the development of all Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) being written by the BISs.
- Ensure BSPs are developed based on a completed Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and written in conjunction with OPWDD regulations.
- Regularly update the Waiver Services Manager and/or Director with regards to clinical supervision and meeting activities.
- Review and approve all existing BSPs annually and when there are changes.
- Participate, as requested, in the continuing assessment of the program participants for the purposes of planning, implementing, and monitoring individual plans.
- Provide overall program development evaluation suggestions to the Director or Waiver Services Manager.
- Attend various team meetings, case reviews, home visits, etc.
- Provide formal psychological evaluations and/or observations as requested.
- Provide in-service training to Waiver Services staff as requested.
Requirements:
- NYS Licensure in Clinical Psychology.
- At least 5 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism and/or IDD.
- Strong foundational knowledge and practical experience in the application of behavior analysis.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, including interpreting documents such as safety rules and policy and procedure manuals.
