Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - Residential Program

Mary Cariola Center is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in a residential program setting. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing clinical supervision and oversight to Behavioral Intervention Specialists, ensuring the development of high-quality Behavior Support Plans, and participating in the continuing assessment of program participants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide monthly and ongoing consultation, clinical supervision, and oversight to Behavioral Intervention Specialists
  • Supervise the development of Behavior Support Plans, ensuring they are based on completed Functional Behavior Assessments and written in conjunction with OPWDD regulations
  • Regularly update the Waiver Services Manager and/or Director on clinical supervision and meeting activities
  • Review and approve all existing Behavior Support Plans annually and when there are changes
  • Participate in the continuing assessment of program participants for planning, implementing, and monitoring individual plans
  • Provide overall program development and evaluation suggestions to the Director or Waiver Services Manager
  • Attend team meetings, case reviews, home visits, and other meetings as requested
  • Provide formal psychological evaluations and/or observations as requested
  • Provide in-service training to Waiver Services staff as requested
Requirements:
  • NYS Licensure in Clinical Psychology
  • At least 5 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism and/or IDD
  • Strong foundational knowledge and practical experience in the application of behavior analysis
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, including interpreting documents such as safety rules and policy and procedure manuals
