Position Overview
The Department of Enrollment Management and Student Success is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our recruitment and outreach team. The Campus Recruitment Coordinators (two positions available) will engage in recruitment initiatives and outreach activities, focusing on connecting with external audiences. Daily responsibilities will include interacting with prospective students, delivering public presentations, participating in local community events and job fairs, and informing the public about programs and opportunities available for potential students, including adult learners who are starting or returning to higher education. These roles will also involve collaboration with local high schools to promote and coordinate dual credit opportunities for their students.
Essential skills for this position include strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in managing student databases.
The ideal candidates will be student-centered, dynamic, outgoing, and capable of presenting campus information to diverse groups. Some evening and weekend work at recruitment and community events will be necessary to fulfill job responsibilities, along with regular travel throughout the service region.
Located approximately 30 miles south of a major city, the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus serves as a two-year branch of the University of New Mexico, functioning as a community college in the area and recognized as a Hispanic Serving Institution. With a commitment to teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transfer programs, technical courses, Adult Education, and Dual Credit classes for high school students. The faculty and staff support a student body of around 2,400 students each semester.

Conditions of Employment
- A valid driver's license, or the ability to obtain one within thirty days of hire, is required for this position.
Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities outlined.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that exceed the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a student recruiter at an accredited college or university
- Experience working with high school students
- Experience engaging with adult learners
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English and Spanish
- Over two years of experience delivering presentations to both large and small groups
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Excel
- Experience providing quality customer service, including problem-solving skills
