Position Overview:
U.S. Medical Staffing is in search of a dedicated Paraprofessional to assist in the educational development of special needs students in a school environment. This role requires a professional with experience in security and behavioral health to provide essential support to students in kindergarten through middle school.
Key Responsibilities:
The Paraprofessional will play a crucial role in fostering a safe and productive learning atmosphere. Responsibilities include:
1. Collaborating with educators to establish instructional objectives and strategies.
2. Preparing necessary materials and resources for lessons.
3. Offering individualized support to students as needed.
4. Ensuring compliance with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
5. Maintaining accurate attendance and academic records.
6. Upholding a structured and organized learning environment.
7. Promoting positive behavior and engagement during both structured and unstructured school activities.
8. Participating in staff meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 48 college credits completed (Required)
- At least 1 year of experience working with at-risk youth (Preferred)
- Background in behavioral health (Preferred)
- Experience with special needs students (Preferred)
- Successful completion of background checks and clearances.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Work Environment:
This position is part-time and may involve working in various educational settings, including public schools and special education facilities. The expected work schedule is Monday through Friday.
Compensation:
The pay rate for this role is $20.00 per hour.
