Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at OSF HealthCare.

Responsibilities

* Provide respiratory therapy to patients with cystic fibrosis, working in accordance with evidence-based policies and procedures
* Administer medical gases, medications, airway clearance, mechanical ventilation, and other respiratory modalities as ordered by the prescribing physician
* Monitor levels of supplies and equipment for department and patient care areas
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages

Requirements

* Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the State of Illinois
* Current National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapy credential if credentialed after July 2002
* American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) certification
* Professional level of knowledge of practice and theory
* Basic Computer Skills
* Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the medical team

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree from an approved institution
* Two to three years of Respiratory Therapy Experience
