Responsibilities:
Develop and execute patient plans of care according to individualized patient needs, as prescribed by physicians and/or clinic policy.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice act.
Document patient information according to standards of care, including patient and family instruction.
Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, share governance, and utilize clinical expertise to support other units and departments.
Utilize critical thinking in regards to patient safety and patient experience, and appropriately escalate to the appropriate chain of command.
Participate in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities, and decisions, and peer review process.
Offer ideas and/or solutions to practice issues, and use innovative methods and intuitive skills to develop and implement plans of care.
Provide innovative ways to educate patient/families, and initiate interdisciplinary collaboration to meet patient/family educational needs.

Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
BSN or upon hire BSN completion agreement for enrollment in an accredited BSN Completion Program, or ADN with Professional Nursing Certification or ADN/Diploma RN with 5 years of RN experience.
3 years of RN experience required.
Licensed as an RN in the state of practice.
Approved CPR certification required within 90 days (Other certification per unit requirements: ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP).
20 hours of continued education.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. For RN Clinic and Ambulatory RN's: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
