Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Chester County Obstetrics and Gynecology, a care center of Axia Women's Health. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate and assess patient health care needs based on signs and symptoms, utilizing established triage protocols and guidelines.
- Obtain input and direction from the provider as needed to determine the best clinical course of action and recommendations for patient health care.
- Accurately document symptoms, nursing assessment, advice provided, and patient/caller response in the electronic medical record.
- Follow policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and departmental effectiveness, as well as improve health care outcomes for patients/callers.
- Maintain patient records by accurately recording medical history, vital statistics, etc., and scanning related documents.
- Check schedules and organize patient flow to minimize wait time and efficiently communicate delays to patients.
- Accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms and assist as needed with walking transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, and preparing for exams.
- Collect patient history and assist the provider with various procedures and screenings.
- Relay instructions to patients/families and provide pertinent information.
- Set up instruments and equipment according to department protocols, clean exam/procedure rooms and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control, maintain and clean the sterilizer according to the scheduled maintenance program, and restock exam/procedure rooms.
- Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and standardized quality control methods to provide the highest quality of patient care.
- Experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse, a degree from an accredited nursing program, a current Pennsylvania license as a Registered Nurse, CPR certification, and a minimum of 1 year experience working in a medical facility, preferably in an OB/GYN setting.
- Knowledge of CPT coding, lab-specific order sets, and eClinicalWorks is beneficial.
