Key Responsibilities:- Provide Legal Guidance: Serve as the principal legal advisor to the company's executives and board of directors, offering expert advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and strategic transactions.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including agreements with suppliers, customers, and partners, ensuring that they align with the company's interests and goals.
- Intellectual Property Protection: Manage and protect the company's intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets, to safeguard its competitive advantage.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, identifying and mitigating potential legal risks to the company.
- Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Handle litigation and legal disputes, working with external counsel as necessary, to protect the company's interests and resolve conflicts efficiently.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research and analysis to support business initiatives and decision-making, providing data-driven insights to inform strategic choices.
- Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and ensure best practices, promoting a culture of compliance and excellence within the organization.
- JD Degree: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active member of the Bar in good standing.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience practicing law, preferably with a focus on aerospace, defense, or technology sectors.
- Proven Track Record: Proven track record of providing strategic legal advice and counsel in a corporate environment.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills and experience in drafting complex agreements.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Entrepreneurial Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple priorities.
