Job Overview:

To excel in the role of a Deli Manager, one must possess exceptional leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that guests receive outstanding service from deli department staff, fostering a positive atmosphere throughout the store.
  • Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and profits for the deli department by effectively managing inventory, supplies, and labor costs.
  • Maintain a high level of product quality, adhering to Lowes Foods' standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide guidance, training, and feedback to deli department hosts to ensure they meet performance standards.
  • Perform various tasks such as product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as needed.
  • Maintain accurate labor budgets and scheduling standards.
  • Assist with PA announcements and perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate a friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Show ability to work well under pressure and lift 25 lbs consistently, 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Possess knowledge of deli operations and the ability to supervise staff effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills are essential.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work well with computers and communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary, estimated around $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure is based on industry standards and average salaries in Wilmington, NC.
