Job Summary

Johnson Memorial Health Services is seeking a skilled RN to oversee the Nursing Care/Resident Management in our Assisted Living facility. As a key member of our team, you will assist the Director of Nursing Senior Living and Licensed Assisted Living Director in all areas of clinical care, including regulatory requirements and supervising clinical staff to meet the needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in welcoming, orienting, and making new residents and families comfortable
  • Be available to families and provide support as needed
  • Give input for policies and procedures
  • Assist in weekly psychotropic drug review
  • Assist with quality assurance (QA) as required
  • Coordinate emergency resident care
  • Complete required assessments and chart summary
  • Assess vitals, labs, physical and psychosocial findings and report changes to the physician
  • Assist in completing advanced directives
  • Obtain consents as needed
  • Assist physicians with exams and procedures as needed
  • Administer and chart medications and treatments as needed
  • Do treatments as ordered per resident contract and services provided per JMHS UDALSA
  • Do skin assessments of pressure ulcers as needed
  • Schedule/coordinate and prepare resident appointments as needed per resident needs and contract
  • Accurately transcribe orders and place in Point Click Care
  • Order medications from the appropriate pharmacy as needed and follow-up for order clarification
  • Consult with care center medical director if problems arise with other physicians
  • Keep other departments and staff updated as appropriate
  • Assist in Care Center as needed up to 8 hours/week (i.e. provider rounds, med cart, assist care coordinator/MDS coordinator)
Requirements
  • RN with current licensure in Minnesota
  • CPR certification
  • Experience in Assisted Living and/or Long Term Care preferred
