The Human Resources Manager plays a pivotal role in the administration, coordination, and assessment of human resources strategies and initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance the compensation framework.
- Draft and update job descriptions as necessary.
- Conduct annual salary benchmarking.
- Design, analyze, and refine the performance evaluation system.
- Formulate, update, and advocate for personnel policies and procedures.
- Revise and maintain the company handbook in accordance with established policies.
- Manage recruitment initiatives, including crafting and posting job advertisements.
- Facilitate phone screenings, schedule interviews, and provide timely candidate reports to leadership.
- Conduct orientations for new hires and offer employee relations support.
- Administer exit interviews to gather feedback.
- Maintain accurate departmental records and reports.
- Participate in administrative meetings to discuss departmental matters.
- Keep the company directory up to date.
- Deliver timely performance evaluations, necessary training, and resources for job performance.
- Engage in professional organizations and attend relevant training sessions.
- Handle additional projects and assignments to meet organizational performance standards.
- Adhere to organizational practices, procedures, and policies, including attendance and break schedules.
- Accept assigned tasks with a collaborative approach and perform all related duties as required.
- Exhibit flexibility in work hours as needed.
- Possibility of utilizing a personal vehicle for work-related tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in health or business management is preferred.
- At least one year of documented experience working with vulnerable populations.
- Knowledge of California State and Federal labor regulations, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have up-to-date immunizations prior to engaging in direct participant care.
- Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, AP Payroll, and Outlook).
- Familiarity with general office procedures, equipment, and filing systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
- Quick learner of departmental policies, procedures, goals, and services.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Capable of multitasking, working independently, and collaborating with staff at all levels.
