Our Advanced Respiratory Care Specialists are expertly trained to deliver specialized respiratory interventions, which encompass ventilator management, nebulizer therapy, chest physiotherapy, arterial blood gas analysis, oxygen therapy, external ventilation support, and pulmonary function evaluations.

The Advanced Practitioner designation is a competency-based recognition specific to our organization, aimed at those who are prepared to elevate their expertise in respiratory therapy.


Utilizing Your Skills:
- Assess and evaluate the suitability and effectiveness of therapy tailored to the patient's age, cognitive and physical capabilities, and developmental requirements.
- Propose modifications to specific therapy modalities as needed.
- Educate patients and coordinate home respiratory care services, ensuring follow-up assessments are conducted using age-appropriate and accessible materials.
- Take initiative for personal and professional development through participation in departmental meetings, in-service training, and continuing education opportunities.
- Uphold established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives regarding quality assurance, safety, environmental standards, and infection control.

Qualifications:

Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within one year of employment.
- Active state licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Completion of a specialized competency program within six months of hire.
