Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Operations Specialist to join our team. This role will provide daily support for nursing operations, including research and development, integration of system-wide initiatives, and collaboration with multiple nursing departments. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews and analyzes nursing literature to recommend best practices to unit/department leadership.
  • Updates nursing policy and procedure based on current literature and professional standards.
  • Retrieves, analyzes, and trends data from multiple sources for ongoing monitoring at the unit/department level.
  • Collaborates with Clinical Education and Nursing Leadership to identify education needs and implement new initiatives.
  • Collaborates with Performance Improvement and other departments to ensure unit/department integration with system-wide initiatives.
  • Collaborates with Information Technology to identify and optimize EPIC nursing documentation.
  • Performs project planning and roll out of division and house-wide initiatives.
  • Serves as a liaison between multiple areas and nursing departments.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) or completion of BSN within three years of hire/placement in role.
  • Prefer a Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN).
  • Five years of project and/or nursing experience, managing increasingly complex projects in a nursing department.
  • Information Technology or Nursing Informatics experience preferred.
