Job Summary

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Jackson Furniture Ind. in the shipping department. The successful candidate will be responsible for packaging, warehousing, and transporting finished products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve furniture from the warehouse and prepare it for loading onto vehicles.
  • Ensure all products are properly wrapped and boxed for transportation.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and receipts.
  • Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure efficient operations.
  • Verify Bills of Lading for accuracy before releasing shipments.
  • Address any damage or issues with inspection/repair department promptly.
  • Keep warehouse and dock areas clean and organized.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work comfortably in a warehouse environment with frequent bending, lifting, and standing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities and procedures.
  • Familiarity with shipping processes and regulations is highly preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Bending, lifting, and moving objects up to 50-75 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours) during the workday.
