Branch Manager

As a Branch Manager at Sunset Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the branch, ensuring that all policies and procedures are carried out effectively. You will maintain communication between staff and upper management, provide support, training, and guidance to employees, and ensure that all Federal, State, and Local laws are in compliance.

1. Manage and oversee the activities of 1 to 4 employees within the branch.
2. Ensure that all daily duties of the branch and staff are completed efficiently.
3. Train employees on company policy and procedures, and ensure that they are up-to-date on all necessary information.
4. Approve and close all New, FB, and Dual loans, as well as increases on loans of established accounts.
5. Handle, approve, and close all delinquent loans (30 days or more past due).
6. Ensure that all delinquent work is completed each day by 2:00 pm and that all customer records are filed in the proper fireproof cabinets at closing time.
7. Maintain a clean and organized office environment.
8. Recommend and handle all legal procedures taken against customers.
9. Refund any fees or charges made in error, and make refunds immediately upon discovery.
10. Distribute Life, Accident and Health, Auto, and Fire Insurance claims to customers, and receive all claims from customers and file weekly with the insurance carrier.
11. Direct all calls from attorneys, newspapers, reporters, etc. to the home office.
12. Verify cash monthly by balancing cash drawers and maintaining cash count records.
13. Exercise ownership in judgment when making decisions affecting the branch and its personnel, control of assets, and credit decisions.
14. Approve all supply requisitions.
15. Properly handle all customer inquiries and disputes.
16. Protect all customer information, ensuring that it is properly accounted for at all times and stored securely each day before closing the office.

1. Meet minimum loan business profit standards in the office each month.
2. Extend credit per policy in a manner that does not result in unacceptable losses.
3. Work collection routine per policy in a manner that does not result in sub-standard operations and/or unacceptable losses.
4. Minimize expenses and make sensible decisions that provide the branch to be efficient and profitable.
5. Follow all Sunset Finance policy and procedures.
6. Follow all laws and regulations.
7. Prepare, motivate, and retain all branch employees.

Previous manager experience in the finance industry is a plus. A high school diploma or equivalence is required.
