Corrosion Specialist

Tallgrass is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corrosion Technician to join our team. As a Corrosion Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our pipeline systems and protecting our assets from corrosion.
Key Responsibilities- Design and maintain cathodic protection and internal corrosion control facilities
- Conduct internal and external specialized corrosion tests on steel structures
- Monitor the condition of the pipeline through pipe-to-soil potentials, visual inspection, and examination of coupons
- Identify and report safety and environmental concerns
- Collaborate with E&C and Engineering personnel to evaluate and implement facility grounding systems
- Develop and implement effective long-term cathodic protection systems
- Conduct atmospheric corrosion inspections and develop remediation plans for aboveground piping
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Associate degree in a technical field or related discipline
- Experience in pipeline system operations or corrosion control
- Strong understanding of corrosion-related instrumentation and safety protocols
