Seasonal Operations and Maintenance Associate

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

This class specification highlights the core responsibilities; specific assignments may vary based on departmental needs.

Execute a range of semi-skilled operations and maintenance activities.
Mow grass to adhere to visibility regulations and enhance the overall appearance of the facility.
Support and collaborate with skilled trade personnel including Operators and Electricians.
Assist with pavement repairs and general maintenance tasks such as concrete work, asphalt, airfield striping, and joint repairs.
Participate in additional maintenance activities including painting, drywall repairs, pressure washing, and general cleaning.
Aid in fence replacement and other maintenance duties.
Clean, maintain, and organize tools, equipment, and work areas.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED and one year of light maintenance experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as outlined above.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Operator's License.
Maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance.

KNOWLEDGE OF:
Personal protective equipment.

SKILL IN:
Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions;
Clearly and effectively communicate both orally and in writing;
Establish and maintain effective, fair, cooperative, collaborative, and respectful relationships with colleagues, peers, work teams, and workgroups.

ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require: balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Medium Work:

exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
