Position Overview

Summary

The Breakfast Cook is responsible for assisting with kitchen station assignments, maintaining cleanliness, and preparing both hot and cold breakfast items according to the specifications set by the Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef.



Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare breakfast items, including eggs and various breakfast meats.
  • Establish and organize the station and mise en place as per the Chef's guidelines.
  • Participate in cooking tasks at sauté, grill, and roasting stations as needed.
  • Assist in organizing kitchen supplies, including dry goods, equipment, storage containers, cleaning materials, and food deliveries.
  • Set up, operate, and dismantle the station as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station throughout the shift.
  • Communicate production needs for the following day by the end of the shift.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in food preparation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic sauces and dressings is preferred.

Additional Information

Supervision Structure
Given:
This role does not involve supervisory responsibilities.
Received:
Works under the direct supervision of the Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef, with tasks assigned according to established procedures and frequent oversight. Guidance and support are readily available.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Must be capable of reaching, crouching, kneeling, smelling, tasting, standing, and walking for extended periods.

Regularly works in wet, hot, and humid conditions for prolonged durations and may be required to navigate slippery and uneven surfaces.

Must be able to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs, either independently or with assistance.
