**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at Senior Lifestyle. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our senior living communities.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the physical plant, including buildings, grounds, and engineering systems.
- Manage a team of maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and discipline.
- Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs to ensure the safety and efficiency of our facilities.
- Coordinate compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and guidelines.
- Work closely with our Executive Director to create and manage capital budgets for maintenance and repairs.
- Establish and obtain bids for capital projects and coordinate annual maintenance programs.
- Ensure the outside of our properties are well-maintained, including landscaping and snow removal.
- Coordinate the removal of garbage and trash from our properties.
- Manage department budgets and maintain inventory control for supplies, parts, and equipment.
- Develop and implement safety and disaster plans, and lead safety committee meetings.
**Requirements**
- 2+ years of maintenance or plant operations experience, with management experience preferred.
- Certified Pool Operators license may be required depending on location.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a can-do attitude.
