Job Title: Per Diem Direct Support Professional

Redwood Family Care Network is a leading provider of home and community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking a Per Diem Direct Support Professional to join our team.

About the Role

The Per Diem Direct Support Professional will provide support to adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This role involves creating a nurturing, safe, and healthful living environment, and providing opportunities for community integration, including swimming.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to program participants that meets their needs and promotes their health, safety, and well-being.
  • Create a nurturing, safe, and healthful living environment.
  • Provide opportunities for community integration, including swimming.
  • Assist participants with regularly accessing the community to take part in a variety of outings of the participants choosing.
  • Ensure that participants are treated with dignity and consideration at all times.
  • Interact with participants, provide informal counseling and problem-solving with participants.
  • Attend staff meetings as required by the Program Supervisor or the Site Supervisor and/or Administrator.
  • Attend training offered/required by the agency, DDA, and other parties.
  • Take part in the development and implementation of the IISP for each participant with whom they work.
  • Provide necessary support and supervision of participants.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with other services providers, the participants parents/relatives/guardians and other agency staff.
  • Responsible for timely completion of all documentation, including, but not limited to, the medication log, shift notes, progress notes, data sheets, incident reports, and client financial records.
Requirements
  • Both written and spoken English language proficiency required.
  • High School Diploma / Equivalent required.
  • Washington State Drivers License, a Reliable Vehicle, Auto Insurance, and must be willing to transport clients.
  • Must be located in & eligible/authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations.
  • First Aid/CPR Certified (training can be provided).
  • Have an active NAR/HCA/CNA.
  • Have an active CPI certification (preferred).
  • Blood Borne Pathogen (within 120 days of employment, training can be provided).
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Be fully vaccinated from Covid-19 (or have an approved exemption).
