Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team at the Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo - a DoubleTree by Hilton. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our guests have a memorable experience at our bar.

Responsibilities
  • Take customer orders and prepare a range of conventional and unique cocktails, as well as offer beer and wine recommendations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area at all times, including restocking and cleaning activities as directed.
  • Ensure that all customer checks and tabs are paid, and record daily sales totals and enter them into the point of sale system.
  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks.
  • Verify customers' ages and serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local, and company laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Prior food service industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED).
  • Proven customer service experience with a strong patron-focused mentality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
