Peraton is seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our Internal Research and Development (IRAD) program as Systems Engineer Interns. Key Responsibilities:- Support the development of software solutions in an Agile environment
- Collaborate with full-time staff to work on various projects and domains
- Contribute to requirements/story development, IT integration, cloud computing, DevSecOps, and automated testing
- Obtain certifications in leading technologies, such as Amazon Web Services
- HS Diploma and some advanced level training
- U.S. Citizenship
- Progress toward a bachelor's degree in systems engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, information systems, or a related field
- Familiarity with one or more object-oriented or scripting programming languages and exposure to software engineering processes
- Hands-on engineering experience through coursework and/or prior internships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and concepts
- Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, responsible team-player
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- 3.0 and above GPA
- Exposure to Agile software development processes
- Exposure to Windows and Linux operating systems, database technologies, web application servers, and/or automated testing tools
- Familiarity with application or network installations, configuration, and/or administration
- Exposure to cloud computing technologies
