Your Role - Contributions: In alignment with the Wallick Mission and Values, the Senior Facilities Technician will execute specific maintenance tasks promptly as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Community Manager, ensuring that residents' needs are prioritized and homes are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out various maintenance projects and unit turnovers as instructed by leadership.
  • Ensure timely completion of work orders within the community.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests, including participation in an on-call rotation.
  • Maintain required certifications for the position.
  • Uphold community standards as per company guidelines.
  • Train and mentor less experienced maintenance staff.
  • Assist with capital needs bidding.
  • Support Reac readiness efforts.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

About You:

  • You possess 3 or more years of experience in maintenance or a related field, ideally in residential settings.
  • You have a strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; certifications are advantageous.
  • You are knowledgeable about laws governing residential housing.
  • You can operate complex tools and equipment, including welding tools and heavy machinery.
  • You are proficient in basic computer skills and smartphone usage.
  • You understand Reac requirements.
  • You demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • You possess strong communication and customer service skills.
  • You have experience leading and training team members.
  • You hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements: This position involves extensive walking, bending, balancing, kneeling, squatting, and climbing. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required, along with effective communication and sensory capabilities.

Work Environment: Travel between communities may be necessary based on operational needs. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, with indoor tasks typically performed in residential units, communal areas, or maintenance shops, while outdoor tasks occur throughout community grounds.
