As a Metal Fabrication Specialist, your essential duties will include:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and specifications to accurately produce equipment and products.
- Utilizing GMAW and GTAW techniques, particularly with aluminum and steel materials.
- Employing handheld tools such as screw guns, drill guns, and grinders effectively.
- Operating measurement tools including calipers, weld gauges, and tape measures.
- Conducting preventative maintenance on welding machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Evaluating welding machine technology to enhance cycle time efficiency.
- Performing quality checks to guarantee that products meet established quality standards.
- Identifying defects in products and completing necessary documentation.
- Reworking or repairing welded components in accordance with engineering specifications.
- Adhering to safety procedures and quality standards in all tasks.
- Communicating effectively with management to prioritize workflow.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of welding experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills for navigation and utilization.
- Technical or vocational training or certification is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Carpentry skills are advantageous.
Candidates should be able to:
- Regularly lift weights between 30-50 pounds.
- Perform repetitive tasks with manual dexterity.
- Operate a fork-lift and overhead crane safely.
