We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated EMT Intermediate to join our team at AMR. As an EMT Intermediate, you will be responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing high-quality patient care and customer service, and working collaboratively with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing patient care and transportation as needed.
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of treatment protocols, response requirements, and quality assurance procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on any changes in system components and company policies.
- Operate a company vehicle in accordance with company policy and safe practices.
- Ensure the unit remains in a state of readiness in terms of mechanical reliability, medical supply, and equipment.
- Complete all appropriate documentation as outlined in company policy.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to hygiene and uniform standards.
- Attend all mandatory in-services and maintain a cooperative working relationship with allied health and public safety personnel.
- EMT IV State endorsement
- Emergency Medical Technician training and certification as required by County
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/CPR) certification for all EMT levels
- FEMA ICS 100,200,700, and 800 certification
- Emergency vehicle operation knowledge
- Radio communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of medical supplies and equipment contained in the vehicle
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently and as a team member
- Ability to employ discretion and confidentiality in sensitive areas
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions
- Valid Washington State Driver's License
