Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician II to join our team at Government Jobs. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform skilled maintenance and repair work on City vehicles and equipment under the general supervision of the mechanic supervisor.
  • Conduct welding and fabricating tasks as needed.
  • Perform diagnostic testing on equipment and vehicles to identify and resolve issues.
  • Review work through conference and written reports to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Perform other work as requested or assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Under general supervision, perform skilled maintenance and repair work on City vehicles and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
