Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public, officers, and other city departments.
  • Work effectively as a team member, understanding the importance of confidentiality and maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Stay up-to-date with technology systems, including Records Management Systems, Electronic Citations, and Microsoft Office products.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; college credit preferred.
  • Valid Kansas driver's license upon appointment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain residency within Franklin County or within a driving distance of 35 miles of Ottawa City Hall.
  • Pass a background investigation, oral panel interview, and pre-employment drug screen.

Working Conditions:

  • Day Shift: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
  • May require call back during major cases.
