Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Technical Sales Engineer to serve as a vital resource for our clientele at Dytran. This role is essential for fostering strong relationships with customers and prospects.

Key Responsibilities
As a member of our inside sales division, your primary objective will be to provide technical insights and product knowledge to our clients. This includes:

  • Identifying application-specific solutions and addressing customer inquiries.
  • Offering technical guidance and introducing innovative products.
  • Managing sales opportunities from initiation to successful closure.

This role encompasses an assigned region, emphasizing the continuous development of positive customer interactions to align with both client and corporate goals.

Your Daily Activities May Include:

  • Engaging with customers, prospects, distributors, and representatives to ascertain application requirements for optimal product solutions.
  • Taking charge of opportunity management, which involves documenting opportunities in the CRM and preparing quotes to meet sales targets.
  • Providing post-sales technical support and collaborating with engineering teams to resolve complex challenges.
  • Building and maintaining robust relationships with clients.
  • Managing customer expectations regarding product quality, performance, and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborating with engineering, planning, quality assurance, and production teams to facilitate the NPR process from customer requirements to production release.
  • Establishing project milestones to ensure orders are on schedule to meet client expectations.
  • Participating in trade shows, seminars, and webinars as a technical liaison and sales support.
  • Preparing application notes, conducting competitive analyses, and developing sales tools to assist the sales team.
  • Performing contract reviews for incoming orders.
  • Creating technical presentations and conducting product demonstrations for clients.
  • Analyzing competitor product specifications and identifying Dytran alternatives.
  • Contributing to team efforts by achieving related results as required.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned by the Sales Director or Sales Manager.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience of at least 5 years in a related field, preferably in electronics.
  • General knowledge of Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with sensors and the aerospace sector is advantageous.
  • Strong mathematical skills and the ability to comprehend abstract concepts related to engineering and technical sales.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this role ranges from $72,000 to $76,000, with potential bonuses. We offer four weeks of paid time off (PTO) in addition to 11 paid holidays, paid parental leave, and a volunteer day. Our 401k plan includes a 5% match, and you will be immediately vested in those funds. We provide excellent medical and dental plans and offer tuition reimbursement after six months of employment.
