Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Business Analyst/Manager to join our team at Double Down Group. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and success through the development and implementation of innovative products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Requirements Gathering:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, product managers, implementation analysts, and developers, to gather and document detailed business requirements for software applications.
    • Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Analysis and Documentation/Solution Design:
    • Analyze business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
    • Create detailed business and functional requirement documents, user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
    • Work with technical teams to design solutions that meet business requirements and are scalable, efficient, in-sync with other product initiatives, and aligned with best practices for software applications.
    • Ensure solutions are designed to meet both current and future needs, incorporating feedback from various stakeholders.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to the development and deployment of software applications.
  • UI/UX Collaboration:
    • Work closely with UI/UX designers to integrate business requirements into user experience and screen design.
    • Provide insights into user behavior and preferences to enhance the usability and visual appeal of the software application.
    • Review wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to ensure they align with business objectives and user needs.
    • Participate in the design and iteration of user interfaces to ensure an intuitive and engaging user experience.
    • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and inform design decisions.
    • Ensure the consistency of the user experience across all platforms and devices.
  • Testing and Validation/Change Management:
    • Work with QA Team members to develop & document detailed testing plans that span all possible edge cases
    • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and work with stakeholders to resolve any issues.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of change management strategies and plans.
    • Provide training and support to end-users and implementation specialists to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Project Management Support:
    • Assist project managers in planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure timely delivery within budget.
    • Track project progress and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Communication/Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear and effective communication.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on project goals, deliverables, and timelines.
    • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues.
    • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Product Business Analyst/Manager with a strong background in business analysis, software development, and project management. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Product Business Analyst, preferably within a software development environment.
  • Experience working with UI/UX designers on user experience and screen design projects.
  • Working on a new product/feature from the requirements stage all the way through deployment is a large plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of software business models and architecture.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Experience with requirement management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and best practices.
  • Experience collaborating with UI/UX designers to create user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces. Figma experience (Big plus).
  • Ability to understand and translate user needs into effective design solutions.
  • Familiarity with popular software platforms and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Understanding of data security and privacy considerations in software applications.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex business problems
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to see how smaller details fit into the big picture.
  • Ability to preemptively identify conflicts between 2 or more product initiatives
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to identify edge case scenarios to ensure a complete UI/UX experience and comprehensive testing plans

Project Management/Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Curious and creative by nature
  • Strong interpersonal skills and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and practices. Smartsheet is a plus
