About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at LCMC Health. As a Senior Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient arrival, scheduling, and departure, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing and transport when necessary.
  • Document patient medical records, navigate electronic medical records, and update patient demographic data.
  • Prepare safety reports and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
  • Implement standard and transmission-based precautions to ensure patient safety.
Requirements
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant or college degree in a science or medical field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Assistants or college degree in the sciences or medical field.
